IN THE NEWS - KAYLA ELLINGSWORTH WINS $30,000

Kayla Ellingsworth (2012) recently won second place at The Great Pitch at ImpactJunkie Fest at NAYC in Indianapolis. The Cakejar, her business venture, started its life as a Union University senior art show. In the show, Ellingsworth developed the product line, displays, and packaging as part of her graphic design capstone. All her products developed for the show sold out in a matter of two hours giving Ellingsworth the seed for the future of the business. Ellingsworth has been working as a graphic designer at Younger & Associates in Jackson, TN since graduation. Her dream has not been dormant. "It’s my goal to launch a brand around a product that I love, not only to provide my customers with yummy cake, but to create missions opportunities both nationally and globally. I’m so honored to be a part of a movement focused on creating impact around the world and am looking forward to all that is to come."
